Security has dominated aviation legislation in recent years. Prominent examples include the amendment to the European Security Regulations of 11 March 2008 and the German Aviation Security Act (LuftSiG). Training requirements have followed suit. For example, all aviation security companies must train their staff to comply with the new Regulation (EU) No 2015/1998.
This is a fast-changing sector that poses tremendous challenges for companies seeking regulatory compliance and training on best current practices.
You are always in safe hands with wingsacademy. Our 15 years of experience in classroom and online training speak for themselves. Not to mention our good relationships with regulators (e.g. the LBA), which give us excellent legal and planning certainty. Like other wingsacademy online training offerings, the aviation security courses are also fully compatible with the LBA's module system ("Modulsystem 3"). They meet all the requirements for background and identity checks, too.
The above aviation security courses are primarily designed for employees who actually implement security controls (pursuant to chapter 11.2.3). Key topics include security searches, potential hiding places and the proper process for sealing aircraft. The training course addresses target groups 220.127.116.11 (persons implementing aircraft security searches) and 18.104.22.168 (persons implementing aircraft protection). The courses can be booked as classroom seminars or web-based training. They are available in two languages (either English or German) and – in the case of 22.214.171.124 – are supplemented by a real-life on-site class which our wingsacademy experts will be happy to provide on request.
Another mandatory course is training for staff with unescorted access to security restricted areas (pursuant to chapter 11.2.6). Personnel must pass this course before receiving an airport security identity card.
This training is offered both as a WBT and as a classroom seminar. Furthermore, we can adapt parts of the training to our customers' unique needs. Customers can have airport-specific photos and documents integrated into the WBT, giving the training an even more realistic feel.
Our aviation security programme also includes refresher training for security personnel (pursuant to 11.4.3). The refresher training is designed for aviation security managers and focuses on key security aspects, e.g. underlying laws, prohibited articles or sensitive areas.
We trained up to this day more than 1m people through web-based training or in classrooms. And the number is growing each day!
