With version 2025.2, the iLearn24 – Next Generation learning management system (LMS) receives a significant boost. The rollout took place during the regular server maintenance on September 3, 2025. The update is provided at no additional cost and includes a wide range of customer-driven enhancements.
Key improvements include: persistent and savable table filters, the new notification event “Users Without Initial Login” (ensuring no first login is overlooked), and a more structured overview for courses and appointments.
More Convenience in Tables: Persistent Configurations and Savable Filter Sets
In administration and controlling, table filters have always been essential for maintaining clarity. With this update, an additional feature is now available. You can save a set of filters under a freely chosen name and load it again whenever needed. Not only the selected filters are stored, but also the specific values you filtered by. This reduces clicks and helps you reach the relevant result views even faster.
Filter settings are now persistent by default and remain active across sessions. This also applies if you make changes within a dataset after applying a filter and then return to the previous overview. This persistence reduces effort during your current session — and after logging in again, your previously configured filters remain active.
Another highlight: Saved filters can now be marked as favorites. A favorite filter is automatically applied whenever the page is loaded and always takes precedence over the most recently used view.
New Reminder Feature: “Users Without Initial Login”
Notifications have been a core element of iLearn24 – Next Generation from the very beginning, and they continue to evolve. Notifications can be triggered by various events within the LMS — for example, when a training is assigned, when a validity period is about to expire, or when an upcoming in-person appointment is approaching.
The new reminder feature enables tracking of whether a newly created account has completed its initial login. Importantly, the notification is not sent upon login — but rather if the user has not logged in within a defined timeframe.
This helps in two ways:
– It serves as a reminder for users who have not yet accessed the LMS.
– And it allows managers, administrators, or controllers to be notified when someone has not completed their first login — and therefore cannot yet have completed their mandatory trainings.
Cleaner, Simpler, and More Intuitive: A New Design for the Course & Appointment Overview
The course and appointment overview in the “My Content” area has been visually redesigned and streamlined, making booked appointments much easier to navigate for learners.
A new tab bar above the main content allows quick switching between the appointment list and course details. Information about appointments, trainers, materials, agenda, and location is now also organized in tabs — making everything clearer and easier to access.
The next upcoming appointment is always preselected, with its details shown immediately. The new structure significantly reduces scrolling effort and ensures the most important information is displayed at a glance.
A Look Ahead: What’s Coming Next for iLearn24® – Next Generation
As always, we’re offering an outlook on the upcoming enhancements currently in development. The following three improvements are at the center of our next update:
The notification module will receive a complete overhaul. With the introduction of message sets, creating notifications becomes easier, and the maintenance effort for content updates is significantly reduced.
A new controlling feature will soon allow you to view the status of individual modules within even the most complex curricula. With just one click, this provides even faster transparency and audit readiness.
And finally: With the next update, the library will be moved into the Next-Generation frontend. Flexible views with an integrated preview will make document searches faster and more intuitive.
